The Sea Girt Elementary School Guidance Program addresses children's needs through a developmental and preventative approach. Through the help of teachers and administrators, the guidance program provides a caring atmosphere which enables students to develop socially, emotionally and academically. The guidance program provides various services to enhance the quality of our students' school experiences.  Each class in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade participates in a weekly Social Decision Making (SDM) class with the guidance counselor.  Some of the activities include individual and group counseling, classroom guidance visits, the character education program, crisis intervention, and academic intervention.
Students are always free to reach out to the counselor to discuss any of their concerns.
If parents have any questions regarding the counseling program, please contact the guidance office, school nurse or a school administrator.
