We continue to honor our veterans this month. Today, the students in grades 6 through 8 were visited by Mrs. Genis's father, Mr. Blore, and his long time friend, Mr. Fryzowicz. Both of our visitors served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Blore spoke about his time in the Navy aboard the USS Forrestal, where he received commendations for his heroic efforts. Mr. Fryzowicz spoke about his time as a Marine in Vietnam where he was wounded in a mortar attack and received a Purple Heart. The presentation was amazing and informative. Thank you for your service and for taking the time to visit with us! #USverteran #veteransday #sges #ussforrestal #purpleheart #USNavy #USMarines

A HUGE thank you too all who turned out for tonight's gym dedication! We had alumni who traveled from as far away as Thailand and as far back as the Class of 1973. All came out to honor Coach Mazz and witness the dedication of the Sea Girt Elementary School Gym as the Frank A. Mazzitelle Gymnasium, which has already been nicknamed The Mazznasium! A big thank you to all of those family members who took the time to be a part of the evening. #sges #pride #poise #mazznasium

We are continuing to honor our veterans this month. Today, the students in grades 4 and 6 through 8 were visited by our ELA teacher, Mrs. Chase's father, Lieutenant Bill Kitley. Mr. Kitley served during the Vietnam War. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Kitley's stories and presentation, which included pictures that he took while serving in Vietnam. The presentation was very informative. Thank you for your service and for taking the time to visit with us! #USverteran #veteransday #sges

In order to celebrate and honor our veterans, the students in grades 5-8 will be hosting local veterans this month. It is with gratitude that we listen to their stories. Today we were honored by the presence of Sea Girt resident and World War II veteran, Corporal Joseph "Bucky" Aboussleman. The students were enthralled as he shared his stories from WWII. We want to thank Corporal Aboussleman for sharing with us today. We also want to thank all of our veterans for their service. Happy Veteran's Day! Thank you! #veteransday #sges
